“I’m In!” Culture Initiative recognized at the prestigious 2015 HR Awards Gala
CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO – (September 22, 2015) – The Emmy Awards may have been in Hollywood, but last Thursday, Canada had its own gala ceremony. The 2015 HR Awards celebrate excellence in the Human Resources profession by recognizing individuals, teams and companies for their outstanding achievements in people management in the country. Over 600 HR leaders assembled at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in Toronto for the 17 organizational and individual categories that provide national recognition of both large and small organizations on their individual merits.
Nominated for two awards, including the Aird & Berlis LLP Award for Canadian HR Champion, Fibernetics won for best employer branding:
The Accompass Award for Best Employer Branding
This award recognizes the HR team that has developed and implemented the most compelling Employer Brand, both internally and externally. Others nominated in the category included Keg Restaurants, Molson Coors, Tigris Incorporated and Traction on Demand.
“Being named a finalist in this category was rewarding in itself. Our HR and Marketing teams have worked diligently together over the past 18 months to revamp and promote our employer brand in the market space. So, being named as a finalist, alongside the companies in this category, was enough reassurance and reward for our hard work and dedication.”
“Winning the award felt very surreal. It was a moment of group celebration and realization that we have accomplished an important goal. Not too long ago, I remember prospective candidates wouldn’t know who Fibernetics was at recruiting events. They would approach the booth, mispronounce our company name and not know what we do. Now candidates approach us knowing who we are, what we do, and why we do what we do. It’s those moments that make me smile with a sense of pride.”
